Gorgeous Graphs

Hi Guys! In maths we had to make graphs of our netball stats. My friend Jayde and I made these graphs together. The stats are most goals, most intercepts, most rebounds, most assists and games played. Here they are!

Have you ever made a graph?
Bye!

Perfect Pepeha

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted for a while my blog wasn't working. But I'm back and I have a lot of work to show you. Here is my Pepeha! I hope you like it!

What is your Pepeha? Bye!

Cool Counting in Samoan with Jerry!

Hey Guys! So as you know on Wednesdays I have been learning Samoan. Lately we have been learning about the numbers(They sound A LOT like the Maori's numbers). Anyways what we had to do was make a game on Scratch. Scratch is a site where you can code cool games. Here are the instructions: Click the green flag to start playing and click the red octagon. Then write a number 1-20 in the box below Jerry(the bear). Then it will show you that number in Samoan! :) Here's my cool game!

I hope you liked it and had a fun time playing it!
Bye!

Wonderful Waste Essay Draft

Hey Grapesters! For literacy, we had to prepare and make an essay draft for our waste essay. It had to be one page long. Anyways enough about that here it is! (Can you spot my thesis(a thesis is where you state what your main points are if you didn't know))

We waste food every minute of the day (all over the globe) and we haven’t found a solution yet. We could keep the leftovers and could reuse them to make a yummy meal, maybe we could take a lack on our groceries, donate food to the homeless or we could use a different source of food. There are so many solutions we could use we all just need to figure it out.

We usually don't want the rest of our breakfast, lunch or dinner because we get too full. Instead of saving for tomorrow we throw it out and it goes to waste, but we could change that by saving our leftovers and putting it in the fridge for tomorrow. If we do that then we won’t waste a whole lot of food and we can have a nice yummy meal depending on what the leftovers are.

If we lack on our groceries and not spend most of our money on all this food we buy then maybe we might just not have any leftovers which leads to waste. A few ways we could all use to help out:
1. Make sure you plan what you are going to eat for the week so you know what to buy
2. Don’t make too much of a big meal otherwise there most likely will be leftovers
3. Store food in the right places so the food doesn’t expire otherwise you’ll have to throw it out
So if we stop getting lots of food and making big meals then we might not have any leftovers to waste and if we don’t waste all our money on lots of food we will also save the leftovers.

Studies show that in 2018 we wasted 157, 398 tonnes of food which is approximately 86 kilos. All of that waste could have gone to the homeless. Basically what I am saying is that we could give our leftovers to the homeless. I mean they don’t get a ton of food, that 86 kilos of wasted food could have gone to the homeless that don’t get much food at all, and it is most likely enough leftovers to go to all the homeless people in New Zealand. So why not donate all our leftovers to the homeless? Well, we won’t have to waste food and we won’t have to worry about the homeless starving.

Should we start looking for different food sources? All our farm animals or wild animals are dying down because of us killing them. So maybe we could find another food source to eat such as bugs. You may think bugs are gross and they would taste all slimy and gooey, but sometimes they can taste nice. But, if we flavour them they may just taste like pizza or if we dip them in a chocolate sauce you might only taste the chocolate flavour. We could do so much with bugs and they may be a different flavour but we can change that with all the toppings we have. I mean I wouldn’t like to eat bugs, but you never know if you don’t try.

Well, there are many ways we can solve this problem of waste but these four were the main ones I could think of and the ones I thought were most important. Reusing our leftovers, lacking on our groceries, donating food to the homeless and eating bugs are four ways I think we could solve this waste.

So that's my essay draft! My actual essay will be longer.
Is there anything I could work on for my actual essay? Did you spot my thesis? Tell me if you did!
Anyways Bye!

My Marvellous Mean, Median, Mode and Range

Hey Grapeters! For maths, I had to find the mean, median, mode and range in my data/stats for netball. My friend Jayde and I are working together and we were only meant to find two stats about netball but we were so fast at it that we decided to do two more. The stats we looked at were most goals, intercepts, rebounds - defensive and goal assists. So here are some screenshots of the stats we found and the mean, median, mode and range we found in the stats.

Goals ^

Intercepts ^

Rebounds - Defensive ^

Goal Assists ^

So those are the screenshots of my work.
Is there anything I can improve on? Is there anything you would change? Did I do it right?
Anyways see you all next time Bye!

Super Samoan Counting

Hi Grapesters! On a Wednesday morning, we have also been learning about Samoa. We had to make a powtoon but I had problems with powtoon so we could make an animation on slides, but for me it was lagging... Sooo I made a biteable! Anyways what we had to make it about was counting in Samoan and counting in Samoan is very very VERY much like counting in Maori. So you won't have trouble learning it. Here is my biteable!

Did you learn anything or did you already know?
Anyways that's it for now folks see you next time! :3

Can you re-make my picture?

Hey Grapesters! We have been doing coding on a Wednesday morning and we had to make a grid on a google doc 10x14. Then we had to make a picture only with black and white. Black means 1 and white means 0. Can you try re-make my picture? Here is the code...

0100000010
1010000101
1111111111
1111001111
1101001011
1111001111
1101001011
1111001111
1000110001
1000110001
1011111101
1000000001

That is my code.
Do you think you can make my picture?
Anyways bye!
