Dear Jacinda Ardern

Hey Everyone, for this activity I had to write a letter to Jacinda Ardern. My letter is about rubbish lying around the city. Here is my letter...

Do you agree with me?
Have witnessed rubbish lying on the ground?
Thank you for reading!
Bye!

  1. Kia Ora Gaia,

You’ve constructed a well-articulated and well-structured letter. I love how you have explained what the problem is, where it can be seen, and how it can be rectified so succinctly and logically. It’s beautifully written.

You’re absolutely right, more bins means people have less incentive to litter. If they’re easier to locate and bountiful, less people will use their absence as an excuse to be untidy kiwis. This small step could have a colossal impact on New Zealand’s scenery and wildlife!

Can you think of any other ways to reduce litter? When I was in Girl Guides, we used to do emu parades where a group of us would go on a walk and pick up any rubbish we could see.

    Keep up the great work!
    Ngā mihi maioha,
    Shannon (SLJ)
