If I Could Change My Name

Hello Readers, for this Summer Learning Journey activity I had to write about what name I would change my name to and why. But I don't want to change my name. But I still wrote about 2 names I would change it to if I had to.

What name would you change your name to?
Bye!

  1. Kia Ora Gaia,

I really like your name too. I’ve never met anyone with your name before, but I think it’s so cool and original. It also sounds quite pretty which is awesome. What amazing meanings behind it! Your parents did a fabulous job choosing it and I think you’ll go far with it!

Lilly and Sophie are such pretty names too. Lilies are such beautiful flowers though I have to admit, my favourites are Tulips though I don’t think anyone would be named after them, or at least no one I know of. Sophie is cool too because it means wisdom, insight, and intelligence. I think the meaning behind a name says a lot about a person.

I’ve always liked my name. It translates roughly to wise river after the Shannon River in Ireland. I like it because its unisex which means it can be for a boy or a girl. My dad picked it. It’s led to a few strange nicknames though. I get Shaz, Shazza, Shazzadog and perhaps the strangest, Shanna. My little cousin called me that because he couldn’t pronounce my name but it’s stuck a wee bit. Do you have any cool nicknames?

Keep up the amazing blogs. Also I really find it cool how you’ve continued a theme in your posts from last time with your background. What an amazing way to keep everything together. It looks great!

  2. Yes, it's funny Gaia. As you know I am into the "Spiritual" stuff. When I was pregnant with you, I really couldn't get past the name Gaia. It just felt right. It took daddy a bit of time to get used to it. All the other names we came up with just didn't fit. Your middle name Rose was a good fit too. It's nice that Rose is a family name - my Grandads big sister was called Rose. There's a whole story attached to her.....I'll tell you some day! Mum x
